Valentina Dallacasagrande, Ph.D.

Co-Founder and Sr. Scientific Advisor

Dr. Valentina Dallacasagrande is a research scientist with more than ten years in ophthalmology research, focusing on Dry Eye Disease and Diabetic Retinopathy. Dr. Dallacasagrande is a bioengineer with expertise in retinal biomechanics and corneal physiology. Her goal is to apply her scientific and research expertise to improve the quality of life of people with vision impairments. After earning her Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig and her Master's and Bachelor's (equivalent) from Politecnico di Milano, Dr. Dallacasagrande held postdoctoral fellowships at Weill Cornell Medicine and the University of Leipzig and graduated from Cornell's entrepreneurship program.
